Hey yall, so I have a 2015 ruck that won't start. The mods that are done are:
re jetted carb
removed stock air filter
aftermarket exhaust
changed weights in variator
switched out my handlebars and removed speedometer

i had issues with it starting, so I changed the battery. It then started having issues starting again. The ruck would also sputter a lot when going slow on initial start up then cut off. Currently I attempt to start ruckus and just get clicking sound. I tried replacing the spark but that wasn't it.
Any ideas on what it could be?

Will it start if you use the kick starter?

 

No no it won't start with the Kickstarter.

 

It could be the battery needs to be charged, or the starter relay(square blue box underneath the positive terminal).

What type of air filter are you using in place of the stock filter?
The 'snorkel' hose is still needed even with an aftermarket air filter. It's not recommended to put the filter directly onto the carb.
This can be causing the hard start and sputtering issues.

 

Have you thought of resetting the ECU?

 

Yeah it's ecu related 99%

 

are you getting any spark from the plug?
