Default Lowering springs too narrow?

Hi,
So I bought lowering springs for my 2001 Accord on Offerup, got them home and realized they are over an inch too narrow to fit on the perches. Messaged the seller and she says yes they are narrower and smaller; they are lowering springs. Says her boyfriend who's been a mechanic 20+ years bought them for her and there's no way they are incorrect. Refuses to give my money back..

Am I crazy? Do they make lowering springs that fit on like that, not all the way down where the stock spring goes? Hoping to get some definitive answers and send her a link to this thread.
Thanks!

So you didn't even take a look at them before handing the money over? Likely they sold you some cheap *** Ebay no name crap.

As for the seller, I highly doubt he's even a real mechanic. Probably the typical ricer with parts all over his front yard.

Probably generic eBay coilover sleeve springs.
