I have a 92 manual Civic EX that started making a squealing noise by the starter. Yesterday it started sounding like something mechanical was starting to seize at random times. I can feel the shifter vibrating sometimes and the car loses power for a second in first gear. The engine isn’t overheating and the car shifts into all gears. Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

 

So, I found out that the issue was a position sensor in the distributor. Since then I have ordered two distributors and made clear to the seller that it is a 92 civic ex 1.6l non-vtec and neither have fit. I am new to Hondas and am lost. This is the recent one I ordered compared to the old one.
