Icon4 OBD2 Help

Hello I have a 1996 Honda Accord SE and i just went to get a smog check on it and it failed because it said "No Communication Between OBD2 plug and smog machine". Does anyone know what to do? Or how to fix this issue?? Whenever I would connect the scan tool to the car it works or whenever I would take it to any auto parts store and they connected their scan tools it is fine and wouldn't give any issues. I'd appreciate any help thanks in advance.

If you can scan it with an OBD2 scanner and your average joe parts store can read it as well. There must be a specific error that they can give you.

What was the actual communication error?
Is it a com read error or a sensor/ECU readiness error?

@GhostAccord The guy at the smog place aid it failed because his computer said "No Communication Between OBD2 plug and smog machine". He said it was probably a fuse, i checked all the fuses and they all are fine, my scan tool doesn't give me any trouble codes and at the auto parts store they also say their scan tool doesn't give them any codes. The car passed everything else, the emissions test and visual inspection. It's just that part that didn't pass.

I am not familiar with how the Ref tool connects to the ECU. If the light green wire is at pin 15 of the OBD connector and you can read data from the ECU with a scan tool I'm at a loss.

Guess you will have to check that all of the wires are still connected to the OBD connector and terminated at the correct points.

Pin 6 = Lt Grn/Red to SRS control unit pin 15
Pin 8 = Red/Wht to 12v from Radio Fuse 36 - 15A
Pin 12 = Blk to Chassis Ground 202, left side of dash
Pin 13 = Brn/Blk to engine Ground G114, left rear of engine
Pin 15 = LT GRN to Pin C8 of ECU
