Default Engine Removal question

I know its covered many times, but before I pull the engine out of the car, is it easier if i loosen the torque convertor bolts from the drive plate, so when Im actually pulling things apart, I dont have to muscle a free swinging engine?

Thanks

First what type of engine and car are you pulling from ? I just pulled a V6 from my Accord Coupe. You can read about on my post. If you want to take from the top of the vehicle and leave the tranny or do you want to bring them up together?

I'm taking a 4cylinder out of a 95 ex. The plan is to move all of it as a unit, detach existing motor from trans, connect replacement motor to trans, move all harnesses and accessory mounts to new motor and then replace rubber crap in car and then drop in new motor
