Todays awfull crash story :(
Well today I'm riding the curves with my budy when we decide to go to a straight run of road to practice wheelies. We are about two miles down the road when a UPS truck almost misses a turn and locks his brakes up before he turns. I grab too much front brake and flip my poor 954RR. It happened to fast to get off the brake. I was going about 45 mph when I crashed. Good thing I jumped off the bike before it smacked my head into the street. I almost got all the way off but my right foot caught my mirror and the tail landed on my shin. No broken stuff on me but a bruised leg. My nuts smacked the tank so hard it left a dent. OOOuuuCCChhh !!! What I need to fix the bike. New front end. Gas tank. subframe is bent. exhaust. and new right foot peg and rear brake lever.
I am sorry that this happened, however you should look at this as a learing experinece. Your bike can stop WAY!@@ faster than a UPS truck. So one of three things happened.
1. Either you are a noob and you paniced.
2. You were not paying attention.
3. You were riding WAY to close to the back of the truck.
Learn from this, next time you might get hurt, you were lucky.

No I'm not a noob. I've been riding street bikes for three years with no crashes. I'm a fast knee dragin fool that made a stupid mistake and paid the price for it. Even the pros crash man.
If you ride alot you'r time will come it's only a matter of time. Atleast my azz is still in one peice.
I had all my gear on so I don't even have a scratch on me besides the bruised leg. My nuts are still in one peice too. LOL.

I will ride with my headlight on tomorrow in memory of your bike
Glad you're ok, I'm thinking notrite was going a bit faster than the ups truck at the time which is why he had a considerably longer braking distance. He may have also been up on the rear at the time and god knows transition takes a long time to get the front down and stopping. Anyways, take the healing time to source some nice parts and get back on the road.
Hey where is a good parts source ??? I tried ebay and all there is on there is a front cowl wich is what goes around the headlight and the windshield. I need one but the one on ebay is red and I need a silver one. I want to peice the bike back together with after market parts for that new non stock look.
Where is a good site to go to ???

I flipped my **** yesterday too...was practicing my stoppies (in a parking lot, off the street)...got it up at about 50mph and rolled about 75-80ft at almost 12 o'clock, at about 15-20mph the bike was totally vertical and before i knew it was flipping straight over...i tryed to jump off but just slammed my chest and head on the pavement and about a second later the tail of the bike slammd my head back to the pavement
..the only good part was that the bike was barely damaged...just some scrapes and broken mirror...and my friend got the whole thing on tape...

i had a pretty nasty crash/wreck on oct 1st of this year,i was going to a bike meet on tuesday night i folowing the truck in front of me i was goign about 55 or so,then all of the sudden this other truck thats was on the shoulder trying to get into the freeway cuts in front a couple of cars and they slammed theyre brakes,i tried swerving but i wasnt going to make it so i had to slam on my brakes, bad idea, the bike just goes sideways to my left i tumbled on the freeway, i ended up going under the car behind me and hitting his front tire with my back, the guy i went under his truck took off,i had a jacket and jeans and of course my helmet,i got really lucky to be here.man your whole life flashes before your eyes, stuff liek this makes us more precatious, but the person who caused the whole accident problably didnt even know what happened.life sux.

I think that a protective cup will help eliminate some of the pain in crashing. I know that my nutz get slammed when I drop the front wheel down after wheeling sometimes. Gotta protect the family jewlz if you know what i mean.
