How do I take out this oil seal? It’s totally different than the new one I got. What’s the yellow ring- is it a part of the seal?

 

Looks like something has been picking on it already. Hence the partly missing seal (the black part). To remove it you need to use a screwdriver on the outside edge of the gold colored part. Pry it up. take it off.

 

Pry the outer circle or the inner circle?
