Hey guys, picked up a 92 EX as a beater. Was checking condition of the valvetrain and when replacing the valve cover bolt on the bottom left side of the engine (if viewing it from the front of the open hood) I went a little too hard and snapped it off. Picture shows where. Am I totally screwed or is there a way to fix this?

 

you might be able to use a reverse drill bit to get it out but you'll need to drill a hole 1st. follow instructions on the kit

Next time use a 1/4" ratchet and choke up on it.

those bolts only require less than 10ft lbs of torque. People using gorilla strength to tighten them and this is the end result. A bolt extractor kit is your best option. Make sure to not leave any metal shavings or you'll have more issues.

 

center punch it, then drill pilot hole, then slightly larger till you can use extractor or reverse drill bit.
