00 Civic SI EM1 Electrical Problem
I have a 00 Civic SI EM1, and it recently died on me 3 TIMES including today... The cluster a d RPM died so I knew it was electrical such as alternator/battery, I swapped brand new alternator and battery and it still is dying after 1 day of sitting and 30 min-1 hour of driving from home to work and work to home... I thought it was the positive terminal due to it being old and corroded so I swapped both the positive and negative terminals out brand new, still died today... The fuses were also checked and looked good but I'm gonna try to change out the main fuses to battery wise, and hope to the Honda God it heals... I would know when it will die cause my RPM would go crazy then stop and I would have about 10-15 min before I completely lose power... If I jump it, it starts right up and u can drive for about 5-10 min just enough to get home if it died on street/hw like the other day. Any guesses of what it could be or have you yourself encountered this situation... I'm out of ideas and hope .. T.I.A.
I did also unplug the clip on the o2 sensor because I was trying to swap out my header and the o2 was bolted tight af and I tried to impact it out but didn't come off. So the 4 wires that goes into the clip that clips into the car clip is currently just hanging... But I don't think that is it...

Replace the key switch. Based on your statement that you lose all power to the instrumentation... this is where you need to check. This is a COMMON problem in the 6G Civic.
Why would it be the key switch? Does it have anything to draining my battery and power? I think it has to be a wiring issues between my alternator & battery ...
Fuse 15 inside the car controls the alternator and 02 sensors. If your ghetto rigged oxygen sensor wires touched a piece of metal it blew the fuse and now your alternator isn't charging the battery.
Stop modding your car. You're destroying it by cutting corners

I already found the problem. Thank. I must've missed the 15 fuse and I doubled checked and fixed the problem.
