Screwed up installing a push start system
Hi all,
My car had an ignition key issue where the key is hard to get in and getting to be near impossible to turn. Instead of replacing it I thought I would try to install a push-start PKE system into my 2006 Honda Accord. All was going well, disconnected battery, I hooked everything up but the trunk, horn, and lights, reconnected battery, tested it, shifted into gear, etc, everything was working great.
Decided I would try to hook up the trunk wire... disconnected batery, my understanding is it was positive pulse and my alarm system produced negative pulse. Instructions said to use a relay, so I did that, hooked it up, and forgot I took the key/immobilizer chip away, tried to start the car, got flashing green key light. Shut it off, realized the mistake, put the key there, but... still a flashing green key light. Tried another key, same thing. Also noticed the D drive light is flashing as well, along with the check engine light. Figured I'd plug in my obd reader, but now that fails to read anything as well. I undid my wiring of the trunk relay, restored it back exactly the way it does, and it still doesn't work. Anyone have any clue what I should try next and what I might have screwed up?
