I have an 09 accord that’s been giving me some issues as of late. So it won’t start right away in the mornings but then doesn’t give me the problem again throughout the day until the next am. I get a no click no crank When trying to start it. I have to hold down the key for about 20 seconds or so and retry multiple times before it cranks right up. All lights turn on in car battery is good starter was changed not too long ago. I replaced the ignition switch. Still doing the same thing in am. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

 

Jump the starter solenoid from the battery when it does not start. If you get a click, then your solenoid is good and the problem is elsewhere. If you do not, then the starter will need to be replace
Are you not getting a click from the starter, or no click at all? There should be at least a faint click from the starter relay either under the hood or under the dash, you'd have to look it up exactly where it is.
Also whip out a multimeter and measure the voltage on the battery with the engine not running and after it starts. The battery has to be over 12V and the alternator has to be over 14V.
Check battery cables and all grounding points which you can find under the hood and under the dash for tightness and corrosion.

If your engine is a four cylinder, the starter is under the intake manifold. So, not easily accessible.

 

what was the fix?? my girlfriends 12 accord is doing the exact same thing.
