I just came across a JDM rear seat for my '00 R, but it doesn't fit. The metal "prongs" on the front of the seat are to close together, and won't "lock" into place. Has anyone else seen this problem? Did I get a CTR rear seat? Are the 96-97 JDM ITR seats different then 98+ ITR's? If I cut off the prongs will the seat bottom rattle, or not stay in place?

JDM rear seats are not as wide at the bottom as USDM spec.

 

you got a pre 98 integra TYPE R seat they are curved u brackets under the seat.

all I did was remove the red/black rubber in the chassis and they fit perfectly

 

The "U" brackets mount into a metal brace, it looks like. I can't remove it. Any other suggestions?

 

i shoved mines up in there until it stayed. hahaha
