Tachometer isn’t reading right
I just swapped a b18c1 into my ls integra. I installed an OBD1 ecu from HA Motorsports. My issue is I’m running the original ls gauge cluster and the rpms aren’t reading correctly. At 8300 rpm it shows 6500 rpm. Or if I rev it in neutral the gauge spazzes out. I contacted HA Motorsports about the issue and they said it was because I’m using my stock tach. Does anyone know if this is true? Do I have to get a gsr tach?

You might have to run a wire directly from the Blue wire on the distributor plug all the way to the plug on the shock tower or to the plug that plugs to the back of the cluster itself depending on what year engine harness your using to get a solid signal.

Doing some research and I think you do need the tach from a GSR to make it work properly, Try a GSR cluster and see if it works, I think the tach can be swapped from the clusters as well but I think it will be easier to just find a GSR cluster and swap it in.

Well somehow the issue is gone. About a week ago I took the intake manifold off to fix a coolant leak, and since then the engine is revving all the way out🤷♂️ Idk what the issue was but I’m not questioning it
