I have a 2012 Honda Accord EX and it has a rattle upon a cold start based on all the videos I have seen it has led me to believe that it is the VTC actuator I don't know how much it's going to cost to get it fixed it's been a few months now and the noise has been getting longer and louder upon starting and I really want to get it fixed before something else happens I usually do all my own work but I was YouTubing how to replace the VCT actuator and it's something I'm not willing to touch Is there any advice anybody can give me on pricing or ways to go about handling this situation any help is good help please and thank you

 

I have a 2009 accord with the same problem , A good web site said it was the hydraulic chain tensioner and honda dealer said it's the cam sprocket or something and it's a common thing . I also do a lot of my own work but I'm not familiar with this car . It goes in this monday and can't imagine what the bill will be .
