EP3 K24A2 with horrible vibration/harmonics issue
Hey everyone, looking for some opinion/knowledge on an odd issue I'm having. Between 3800 and 4300 rpm, the resonance from the driveline is so bad that you can't hear yourself think let alone enjoy the drive. I've been fighting a horrible vibration at idle since we did the swap, I assumed with the added weight and torque, the stock mounts just couldn't hack it so I put in the right mount and trans mount first and the vibration got better but the harmonics picked up slightly but not bad enough to make a huge difference. Today I installed the rear mount and 95% of the vibration is gone but the harmonics have increased exponentially. The only thing I can think of is that the balance shafts are eliminated when you do the K20A2 oil pump conversion but I can't believe that it would be this bad. I know some things in this list aren't going to matter but here everything we've done:
2004 K24A2 block, crank, head, cams and intake manifold
K24Z3 rods and pistons to bring compression up around 11.5:1
K20A2 oil pump conversion
Innovative Poly engine and trans mounts (black)
RBC 50 degree VTC Actuator
RDX injectors
Stock K24A2 accessories
Exedy Stage 1 clutch and flywheel
AEM intake
K-Tuned K24 full length swap header and cat delete
Tanabe Medallion exhaust

Sorry, this was while driving. It comes on hard from 1800-2200 rpm while sitting still and 3800-4200 in motion. The resonance decreases slightly after 4200 but not much.
