ECU for an H22 swap in 98 hatch
I was just wondering what ecu you guys are running for an h22 swap into a 98 civic? I just picked up an h22 and I have the ecu and wiring harness out of a 01 prelude but I dont have the immobilizer or the keys so I don't think the ECU will start the car or anything.
If you have annual inspections/emissions tests where you live, you will have to find a '96 Prelude VTEC ECU and wire in all of the emissions related systems so as to NOT throw MIL codes. If however you live in a more "agreeable" state, I would use an OBD-1 "P28" style ECU with a tuning solution like a Hondata s300 and eliminate all of the extra wiring and tune the car accordingly.
