Already replaced the coils and spark plug, erased the codes. Then a few days later the random misfire code came back on again. What other option to figure out what could be the problem?

 

Check compression on all cylinders, check timing, Could be any number if things. Has the car been overheated at all?

 

Yes it overheats when the car is still for certain amount of time, I wanna say about a good 30 minutes and then it'll start overheating. For example, if I'm stuck in traffic and my car hasn't been moving. The thermometer will start creeping up, I have changed the fans and the thermostat but it's still does the same thing.

 

Check for a blown head gasket. Quite common in these engines.

 

+2 on this, blown HG would explain a lot of your issues and as previous poster stated is super common with the D17 engine

 

Try an injector cleaner they may be dirty
