Hey guys,

Looking for some help nailing a persistent CEL for the last 2 months in an Australian V6 Accord 1999 w/225000Km.

About a week after doing the timing belt, pump, plugs, cleaning the EGR and intake, replacing PCV, and replacing all fluids, it started showing a CEL consistently two minutes after driving off from a cold start (it's winter here now, cold is 10deg C or so). If I stop and restart the motor the CEL won't come on again, so it only shows with a cold engine.

When it's on, the code is two long/two short blinks (22) which google says is a VTEC error, possibly pressure sensor (OBD 1 car). I have pulled the clock fuse, the CEL will still come on next drive if it is cold. The car runs fine, revs high without any issues, start first go and idles OK.

I have since done the following, no change:
Changed oil and filter, 10w40 and then 20w50 (no oil pressure warnings, levels always above the minimum)
Run 3 cans of engine flush through it (one with each oil change in the last 3 months)
Replaced VTEC Pressure sensor (this tested OK anyway, plus if not connected, it throws a CEL on cranking)
Replaced the gasket with the strainer between oil pump and VTEC/Filter housing (it was clean anyway)
Blasted the oil filter / VTEC housing and solenoid with brake cleaner (it was clean anyway)
Tested the VTEC solenoid (clicks in when 12v + applied to it)
Checked the sump and oil pickup (both OK, no blockages)

Any ideas?
