Progress CS-2 spring configuration
To start with I'd like to ask if anyone knows why I can't find progress cs-2's specifically for the 1992-2000 Honda civic (77.1003) anywhere other than on progress's website and on SOHI performance (I've never heard of them. Do they have good support?). It seems like everywhere has them out of stock and I just want to make sure that Progress suspension is still in business and that my warranty is still guaranteed on purchase as well as customer support and product support (i.e replacement dampers when needed) when I buy them.
Onto the next question. My Ej6 is a daily driver, it's a cx hatch that currently has the stock d in it. I would like to either do a b series, an h series, or a turbo d, does the weight of the engine play a roll in picking your spring rates or is a small difference. The car is my only vehicle ( other than my motorbikes) and it will be used to commute to school and work as well as occasional autocross. All of this lines up with two options for spring rates based on progress's website. Either 350/250 or 350/350. 350/250 sounds pretty comfy but I'm concerned with the trade-off of handling. I would like a lower car but this purchase is mostly for the handling and I would like to get my moneys worth if that makes sense. It would make sense to have a higher spring rate in the front but I'm not a suspension expert (that's why I love that the cs-II are nonadjustable damping) but from what I heard it seems like the 350/350 handles and still is good for a daily. Should I consider other options like 450/350 and so on? Also
I digress
Basically, what is everyone's reviews on different spring rates and ride quality.

Due to center of gravity of FF cars, front spring rate has little effect to ride quality, and has everything to do with the rears. Engine weight does factor in but very minor. I would ignore what swap you have and just assume there's several hundred pounds up front regardless.
You choose the front rate based on your driving needs, faster turns need more spring rate to keep the car planted. And too much it'll just plow, understeer.
But don't kid yourself, 350 is plenty in front.
250 is fine in the back, but I prefer less for daily, it's simply more comfortable and I'd rather run a larger rear bar.
If you want to be a track hero, go more in rear and learn to drive it fast.

Alright I'm basically torn between 450/350 and 350/350. Would the 350/350 have less understeer and be better for daily? Would the 450/350 be better for handling? I'm still generally confused by a square setup vs front heavy setup and their effects.
Also is SOHI performance good to buy from?

There's nothing magical about a "square" spring rate since the front:rear ratio is meaningless.
Try 350/250 for daily.
I don't know anything about sohi or even what progress is up to.

350/350 is fine.
Order directly through progress website, look on HT vendor market place for a discount code.
You end up with a very good adjustable suspension for aroun $550
