Default Coolant problem

Hello all,

I have a 97 civic EX and my coolant resievor is overflowing and my engine over heats at idle only, when throttle is open it runs normal. Also when i have my blower motor on high and switch for cold to heat the airflow is restricted and the temp is slightly warm. The fan works and i replaced the radiator cap with oem honda about 6 months ago when i did a coolant flush. What could it be?

I usually think of the water pump if the temps go back to normal when you apply throttle.
