Hello all. I’m having some trouble finding the info I need on doing the swap, specially harnesses. I have a 97 Hx d16y5 with the auto cvt. Engine messed up (rods) so i pulled it and will be rebuilding it. In the meantime I came across a complete d16y7 swap including motor, tranny, computer, shift linkage. Will I experience any trouble doing this swap? Anything in particular I should be aware of? Will the y7 engine harness plug directly into the y5 dash harness already in the car? I thought it would be a simple swap but I’d rather ask more knowledgeable people who have experience with this. I’m just trying to get the car running in time for school again. I need something reliable as I will be doing about a 90 mile commute every day 5 days a week. Thanks in advance.
