Default Fuel surge tanks, anyone using them?

Looking to gain some insight on an issue I've been neglecting for a few years now. DC chassis.

Typically under half tank, even if its slightly, I experience harsh fuel sloshing on track which leads to heavy break up.

My NA setup was running 550cc grams injectors, aem 320 pump and e85 6AN feed/return...the break up issue started just under half tank of fuel.

When I switched to a turbo setup with 1000cc ID, aem 320 pump and e85 6AN feed/return... I don't think I even make it down to half a tank before break up.

EDIT**** AEM pump is using the OEM dimension fuel sock.

My ultimate question is has anyone in the EG/DC chassis had similar issues?

I was thinking about adapting to a fuel surge tank to prevent these issues but, I'm not ready to pull the trigger just yet.
Hoping to gain some real life input from you guys before I dump a bunch of loot.

SO... this comes up once or twice a year. It is very hit or miss depending on the chassis... not DC vs. EM1... but two DC chassis wont even behave the same.

The easiest solution people have come up with is to use the Holley fuel mat. seems to work really well... the tricky part is getting it into the tank.

My CRX, DC2, and EM1 can be run on R comps under 1/4 tank... on both the stock fuel pump/neck and on my 255 pump/neck... but I know LOTS of guys that have the issue and they use the Holley mat.

Interesting, I've never even heard of such a thing! Is there a particular size that works well in our tanks? Seems like there's quite a few options.

Thank you for the input!

The nice thing about the hydramat is you can bend and fold it to stuff it down in the stock tank baffle, so the size doesn’t have to be 100% perfect. Works wonders.

I found an old thread where guys were removing the stock baffle. "Stuffing" it into the stock baffle will work just fine? Have you personally used the hydramat?

Yes, in my Prelude. It’s attached to the stock pump and hanger sitting in the stock baffle. No more fuel stumble.
