Default Thoughts on aftermarket shift linkage

Looking into some aftermarket shift linkage and was wondering if its really worth it to get something such as Hasport or Innovative. Would that help shifting feel smoother or just rebuilding my OE shift linkage be just as effective

I've rebuilt my linkage at the shifter with all new parts on my EF and it improved the feel some. The problem is the universal joint at the other end of the shift linkage often gets really loose, and these are not typically rebuildable that I'm aware of. My EF has a TON of slop in the shift pattern due to a worn out u-joint, and for a situation like this, I think changing out the linkage is about my only option.

Google around for “Mil Spec shift linkage” and see what you can come up with. It’s a good mod. There are a few shops that could do one for you if you don’t have the facility/skill to do it yourself.
