stop lamp fault sensor
hey, all. i have a 2001 EX coupe. i need a stop lamp fault sensor and cannot find one anywhere. have searched and searched. not at rock auto, not at crappy local stores.
please tell me there is an aftermarket one somewhere.
a dealer-only part will drain too many resources. i figured rock auto was my best bet. wrong.
last one i got from my local u-pull-it, but that only lasted 6 months or so. the cars there all have hoods and trunks open, so lots of exposed electrical stuff gets rained on etc.
now i only have half the problem--instead of both sides out, it's only the passenger side.
could there be a different name for this? and why the &%$ can't i find one?
any help is greatly appreciated.

It's not aftermarket and it's about $100 retail. Discount retailers like Majestic Honda may charge less, but you'll have to pay shipping. You don't have to pay shipping if you order at your local dealership. .
I don't know what you have, so I just put in 2001 Ex 2 door leather for the options. If your specs are different, plug that into the Honda estore website and see what part number you get. These OEM part numbers can sometimes be used to find aftermarket parts, but if there's not much difference in price, it's better to go with OEM.
Hope this helps.
