Default Stupid shifting

Morning all! This is officially my first post here!!
I acquired a 1999 accord lx 4 cylinder...im straight in love with this car. I drove an hour to get this thing and drove her home... Then everything went downhill. I've got the motor running strong but this tranny is starting to upset me. I've checked all solenoid and cleaned them, the tranny fluid was so so, so I drained and filled. I did go cheaper with the castral import Vs Honda because it's available by me.

So the first this is the shifting! It's still super hard shift, harder than before with the nasty fluid...
Second, I'm slipping at different points. If it was anything internal I would think it would be a constant and predicted thing versus a very crazy shifting issue. I can get her going but between shifting, she doesn't want to engage the gears... There were points when it just stayed in neutral for a second and then caught. So I'm thinking it's a electric issue, a sensor, or something? When cleaning the solenoids, I had to pull the battery and battery box and lost all my dummy lights... I'm at a complete loss!!
I really like this car and don't mind work, but I can't do a money pit and still have to be able to drive 45 mins daily to work.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
And thanks for the add fam! After I got my 04 k24 crv, I'm definitely a Honda fan!!

Immediately stop driving until you figure out whats going on. Check the fluid transmission fluid level. If that's okay buy a manual transmission next time, Honda isn't known for having "good" or even "okay" automatic transmission. How many miles are on this thing?

Sorry to hear, CloudyKin! I've also got a 1999 Accord LX with a 2.3L. Mine's a manual with 230K, but I don't think I would drive it 45 mins to work and back each day.
