Default Engine size ZC M's

I need help understanding the size engine in my car. I recently bought a 1992 Honda Civic Hatchback for my 18 yr old son but I think the engine has been swapped. A ZC (then some type of logo) then M's is marked on the engine block. I appreciate any feedback

SOHC or DOHC motor?

Probably a 1.5 liter.

Probably, I don't really know anything about the ZC other than there is a SOHC and a DOHC version. No one really specified every time I read about them so I assumed they were another 1.5L variant. They definitely could be 1,6L variants instead leaving the D15B to be the 1.5L variants.....
