I've searched and searched and all there is are people replying "why would you do that?". Or people saying that they will fit with little to no modification.

I bought a 7th gen seats in hopes of fixing it up to be a beater but it needed a new head and it wasn't worth it for a 7th gen in poor shape. Either way I like the seats more than my ej6 cx seats.

I have the seats both in front of me and I don't even know where to start with this it's all so confusing. Has someone done this before? Or should I give up and get del Sol/Integra seats. I found one source that said you just need to swap the rails but they look like an entirely different design.

 

You actually need to swap the seat pans. If you are not comfortable doing this, take them to your local upholstery shop. They can handle it no sweat... and then they will bolt in to your EK.

IMHO the 7th gen seats are wayyyy more comfortable than the 6th.....go for it!

 

Well they look better too when black, I'm doing a black interior conversion with a flocked dash.
