These auto store parts for my Honda are just plain garbage. I have never had so many issues with any other car I have worked on. I have gone through 2 PS pumps that I have bought from the auto parts store. Both have failed within a month. I get a loud screeching/groining sound coming right from the pump after a couple of weeks. I am done buying parts from the chain auto places. I am going straight to Honda and gonna pay 700 dollars for a brand new pump or buy a refurbished one.

Make sure your O ring on the suction line at the pump isnt drawing in air resulting in noise. Other that that try getting a used one at an auto wrecker. Could be other issues but this is what I'd look at next.

 

I would also look into doing a fluid flush.
