Help! My H died!
Ok heres the scoop. 90 Accord LX 180K miles. A while ago, the battery light was coming on and off. Well we have other cars so i took this Accord apart. It needed struts and other stuff, so it was apart for a while. So i put it all back together, and the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I took it in and the tests were kinda iffy, so I got a new one.
So i drove around for a day, and than the battery light was flickering on and off. SOmetimes it would stay on for a while, and go away when i hit like 2200 RPMs. Other times that wouldn't make it go away. Well it died on the highway today. Jump started it, made it someways, jump started it again and made it home. When the car is started, the battery only shows at most 13.3 volts.
Alternator belt and tension is good. So I ripped out the alternator. I am going to get it tested probably tommorow. Until then, are we safe to say its the alternator?
Thanks

i'm not sure if Honda's have voltage regulator as my old land cruiser did, but i did have a problem like that in my landcruiser, and it was the voltage regulator. If hondas doesn't have a voltage regulator please don't flame me. I was just trying to help. I don't know the electronics parts of a car well.
If i help, you welcome.
If i suck at it, just don't say anything
