Hello, I've been out of the Honda game for some time now and is just getting back into it. I have this b18b motor and seller never informed me that the bolts on the intermediate shaft on the block had been broken and is stuck in the block. What are my best options in removing this? If worse comes to worst I was planning on drilling the bolt and threading with a new one. Can anybody help me on this pls. I'll attach an image below of the broken bolts. Thanks in advance.
Re: B18b broken intermediate shaft bolt removal help
For the top one that has some of it sticking out I would try welding on a socket onto it that somewhat fits the bolt. If you can weld it most of the way around you should be able to back it out. Those threads all look pretty tatered though so I would sti Tap them and put helicoils in them.

Take your time, use a center punch, sharp drills, start small and work your way up to as fat as you can without touching the block threads. Use a quality extractor, you don't want to be snapping that off in the bolt.
