handbrake light staying on

Default handbrake light staying on

So i have recently changed the brake master cylinder and now the handbrake light is staying on,any ideas??

A fast google search revealed that this can happen if the brake fluid level is low.... so check double check that, and also curious, did you bench bleed the master cylinder?

The other option you can check is to check your brake lights in the back. My brake lights stayed on for a while even after I put in brake fluid. Once I went to check my brake lights, I realized I had one that was burnt out. As soon as I replaced it, the light disappeared. Haven't seen it since then.
