Icon6 How to Remove Positive Battery Cable Blocking Removal of Heater Pipe

I'm the owner of a 2005 Honda LX Accord, 4 door, with 2.4 liter engine (only 80K miles).

Sorry to ask what may appear to many as a really simple and perhaps stupid question, but how do you remove the positive battery cable from the built-in metal post that is attached to the heater pipe in the above diagram?

I need to replace the heater pipe because I inadvertently drilled a hole in it when I drilled out a broken bolt, but in order to remove the bolt circled in red that holds the heater pipe in place, I need to first remove the positive battery cable to gain access to this bolt..

The positive battery cable is held onto the tongue of the metal plate circled in red below via a plastic clip and I don't think the heater pipe can be removed without first removing this battery cable. .

I don't see any release mechanism on this clip and have tried using brute force to slide the positive battery cable clip off this metal post on the heater pipe but it won't budge.

I have tried using my fingers and a screw driver to poke and press on this plastic clip in the hope that it will 'release' but have been unable to make it do so.

I'm a newbie to this forum and would appreciate your assistance.

Thanks much.

Here's a photo of the positive battery cable's fitting that attaches it to the metal prong of the 'heater pipe' circled in red in the diagram above.

If anyone could please tell me how to disconnect this battery cable fitting from this metal prong, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Never mind.

I figured out with the aid of a boroscope that there is a lever on the bottom of the fitting on the battery cable, not visible because the plenum of the intake manifold is in the way, that when pushed up released the battery cable clip.

The picture I posted of this battey cable fitting in my last posting was also taken with a boroscope but only showed the fitting from the top.

I highly recommend getting a boroscope to allow you to view things that would otherwise be obscured from view.

BTW, removing the heater pipe is a PITA and can be done, in my opinion, only with the plenum of the intake manifold removed.

I hope the new heater pipe, when installed into the water pump, doesn't leak. I'd hate to do this again.

Thanks all.
