Default Starting issue

My 2002 civic just wont start without the cable from the scan tool connect to it..I rebuilt the engine and everything was fine the following Monday after I put it back together but the Tuesday it just shut off on me after I started it and drive off..I put all the ground wires back where they came from so I dont know what why is this going on.any advice?

The scan tool is supplying the ground needed. Check and clean thoroughly the grounds at the thermostat body first.

It was the ground wire from thermostat housing to the wire harness was loose, I cleaned all 3 and the car starts right up.

Default High ,low RPM.

My 02 civic is always idle up and down and I cant find the issue. I cleaned the idle control valve but I'm still having the problem. And if I press on the gas pedal, it idle for awhile before it comes down to normal..
Anyone have any solutions.?

I sprayed carb cleaner around the engine where the hoses and there is no signs of any leak..It maybe my control valve sensor bad.
