Verify a 95 Integra has an airbag and whether it works?
I have a 1995 Integra that belonged to my daughter. She was in a minor front end collision when she slid in rain into the back of another car. Her airbag did not deploy.
How do I safely determine whether this car actually has one installed or if the previous owner removed it?
If it does have one then how do you determine it will still work other than the obvious?

You can determine if it has an airbag by looking on the dash and steering wheel. If it has airbags, you'll see airbags. If not, you won't see any. Just to save you the trouble, Integras have two airbags. Is the SRS light illuminated on the gauge cluster? If not, they work.

It also really depends on how bad the front end collision was. A minor fender bender shouldn't set off the airbags as just the impact from the airbags themselves are a very serious force. And gen 3 Integras are only 1 stage airbags so if they go off, you're getting the full force of that hit. Again, all Integras sold in North America come with passenger and driver airbags. If you just look in the car you'll see them there as long as the steering wheel's stock. If the SRS light isn't on, then they should be good to go. A minor accident should not set them off though as that would actually be a danger to the driver and passenger. There's a reason small children shouldn't sit in the front seat.
