Default Bad grind in trans, disassembled to find this

B16 trans with quafe LSD.

Bought it as is was told it was good to go.

From 1st to 2nd it has a horrible grind. Like the syncros are gone, that bad... doesnt matter the rpms.

when I split the case these 2 bearing rollers fell out. I thought ok, the countershaft support bearing failed. NOPE.

SO NOW I AM UNSURE. Possible it had failed and whoever fixed it just didnt pull these parts?

those look to be the bearings from the case alright. dang that guy who sold it to you, assuming he also rebuilt the trans, is pure ridiculous. I wouldn't trust anything he told you. check every bearing in there for looseness including them spinning inside the bores where they fit into the case. they need to be staked 6-10 times so they don't wear out the bore in the case. I have a video showing the staking in my how-to: 2002 odyssey rebuild thread under the transmission section of this forum. if those synchronizer rings are worn just replace them, I would personally at least. and yes those are the rollers for the bearing, he probably didn't clean out the magnetic "catch filter" of whatever they call those.
