hi all
So i got a 1999 accord coupe and its the first one ive seen if im honest im told its getting to be a bit rare to find but how true that is i dont know. Anyway i got mot on the car in a couple months and the emissions will fail as the previous owner welded of the whole exhaust. Its got a cat but think its blocked and the sensor is shot also the centre silencer is split and it has a straight pipe on the back. Im struggling to find all the bits i need, has anyone had any dealings with universal cats?
Or anyone know anywhere in the uk where i can get exhaust buts? i have tried all the usual motor factors and websites

 

Coupe in the UK is an imported US 'CG' chassis, you have the NSX looking taillights correct?


That's not a Swindon built Accord/Rover 600, those sedans/saloons are related to the JDM Ascot Innova. Several differences body/interior/suspension.

Depends on what brand and the purpose. Some universal catalysts are only really good for visual and won't do you much good after the first emissions test.

Have you compared pricing + shipping from Rockauto.com?
Have a CB-1(JDM import) in Eire that I get most basic CB chassis bits from Rockauto for repair. Even with shipping and VAT the parts are cheaper than I could find locally.
Since the car is a US built I would think most of the mechanical will work on your UK Coupe.
The only difference with USDM cars is the California(Calif) emissions cars have slightly different emissions and the exhaust bits have slightly different brackets from Federal cars.
If you can take some pictures of your engine, exhaust, emissions label and post them that would be great in identifying what you actually may need.
