03 to 07 Accord transmission swap
I have an 03 Accord with a 3.0 V6 It has a BAYA transmission in it. I have ordered a used BAYA from an 07 Accord.
My question is will this transmission be a direct fit or will I have to swap some parts from my old transmission?

Honda is pretty good at keeping trans codes separate.
If you are getting a 'BAYA' transmission, then it is most likely the same as your current transmission.
Only differences may be brackets that may have changed over for routing of wire harness or other components.
Take them off your original trans and put them on your 'new' trans.

Yes, the only issue that I had was that I needed the drive plate from the 07. The drive plate is what I would have called a flex plate, but on a Honda it is called a drive plate. It is the part that the torque convertor bolts to just to be clear. The transmission that I installed has a shifting issue. I would caution you that these transmissions are known to have problems and installing a used Transmission can be a gamble because the used transmission could be at the the end of its life. I have been able to drive it for a couple of years with the shifting issue, so I didn't get hurt too bad.

Hey, how did you know you needed the flex plate as well? What did you encounter? I have a 2003 2.4L, do you think I’d have to do the same if I get a later transmission?
