Default Will a h22a4 bolt into a 96 prelude

Hey just wanna know if a h22a4 will bolt up to a 96 prelude and if so would I need to change anything else to make it run? Or will it run with the same ecu and wiring harness.
Thanks!

depends was it with vtec engine or not that do you need to rewire vtec to your engine harness

and of course its smart to get A4 ecu also

First, I am assuming that you already have a H22A1 engine in your chassis now... so all wiring is already there. As long as it is a base model engine, it will work in your '96 Prelude. Use your engine harness, distributor and complete intake manifold and you will be set.

You will need to use the '96 H22 ECU for this application/combination... the '97+ ECU has an immobilizer associated with it and this would require installing the immobi system and changing the key in your steering column. WAY more trouble than it is worth.

No it doesn't have vtec it's the f22 with none vtec. so that's why I was seeing if I needed an ecu and wiring harness. my other 96 just got stolen and stripped and it was engine swapped to a h22a but still had the ecu from the f22 original engine and ran off the same harness and ecu and had no vtec. just not sure if the h22a4 would be the same deal!
