Some days, club racing is boring. The field strings out on lap 2 and you basically end up running a lonely HPDE session in a race setting.
Last weekend's SCCA Lightning Challenge was not one of those days. What I thought would be a nice sedate test for my partially-built STU Prelude turned into an all out brawl from lap 1 of the qualifying race. Within a few laps we were fighting for the lead with a similarly prepared STU 240sx, a Touring 4 Scion FRS, and a Touring 3 350Z. The footage came out fairly decently so I thought I'd share it on here:
Sunday was a little less chaotic but no less exciting. The 350Z's 250+whp and the 240sx's super sticky Hankook quali tyres made the first half difficult, but persistence prevails... sometimes.
