Default 2008 Honda Civic Electrical Issue

Hello,

My girlfriend has a 2008 Honda Civic LX with a inconsistent electrical issue. For the last year or so, sporadically, her battery light has been coming on, lights dim, and the engine sometimes dies. The alternator has been replaced twice and battery twice in this time span, so we are pretty certain there is a deeper issue. The under hood fuses have been checked and they are all OK.

I am led to believe that either the alternator isn't being turned by the belt (maybe a loose tensioner) or there is a problem with the alternator connector or some wiring between the alternator and load.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

When this occurs,is the battery completely dead?
