Default Bad fan switch?

a follow up. I just changed out fan motor, checked resistor, it checked out good. When i turn the fan speed switch up past the second setting the check battery light comes on. I know the alternators not bad or else my battery would be dead by now. Can there be something wrong with my ecu? My problems seem to have started when i switched out my ecu for a different one. I switched it out whwen my car wouldn't start but found out it was mymaster switch under the dash. Should i just put my old one back in and see if the car will start. Its my daily driver so can't afford a lot of down time with it.

Default Re: Bad fan switch?

interesting twist. I tried different switch combinations on the drive home and found that the check battery light only comes on when the ac button is turned on. If i leave it off the car runs fine. Anybody have any ideas on what to check befor i make a shop appointment that i can't afford?
