New key with remote transmitter
Greetings,
i just picked up a 2005 CR-V and I only have 1 key. It’s the type with the key and transmitter in one. I don’t have the original key number tag either. Is there a relatively painless way of getting a second key for this vehicle?
Thanks

I bought blanks on amazon, had a locksmith cut them, and had honda put the chip in, this was for a 2012 so your experience may vary, but a set of two blanks with the remotes in them, for the 2012 on amazon was $13, honda charged $60 to program as many keys as i wanted, locksmith was $6 i think. so i got two new fully programmed keys for $79-ish that way. i think honda wanted $200 for a pair dont completely by them..
