my mechanic said the sound of a flat tire is a front bearing ..how long can i drive it this way?..it doesnt do it all the time but its getting worse..his price was $267..high?

 

Cannot comment on cost, but 30+ years ago, I had a Mustang with a bad bearing that I ignored too long; ended up replacing the entire spindle. One other time, I was following a single mother and her son (Valiant? Dart?) and saw the one of the front wheels fly off, due to a bearing never serviced; fortunately she pulled over safely. Don't wait too long; my two cents.
