Hi i have the p1457 code on my 2002 odyssey i replace the CVS on it with a new one from the dealer, code was gone for two days and today came back again, did someone have the same problem and how the solve it.
P1457 is a leak at the canister side which may be due to various causes; however, the canister vent shut valve and/or the EVAP Bypass Solenoid Valve are usual suspects due to water possibly getting in and causing corrosion and damage. Sometimes one or both of those valves may be damaged by corrosion. But, it may be a leak somewhere else other than the valves.
Honda TSB 03-001 is regarding P1457 and the EVAP Bypass Solenoid Valve. In this bulletin, it mentions to:
Listen for a click and feel for a light tap from the solenoid valve as you activate it.
• If you can hear the solenoid valve click or feel it tap when activated, disregard this service bulletin, and look for other possible causes.
