98 Accord, Another cruise control question

98 Accord, Another cruise control question
I tried searching and couldn't find my exact problem.
98 accord EX sedan auto.
Cruise is not working, the button on the left side of the steering wheel does not light up when depressed and no light shows up on the dash for cruise. What I have done so far :
Checked fuses ( every fuse is good except the interior lights fuse)
Checked the black/yellow wire and I have 12 volts going to the switch
Is it safe to assume the switch itself is bad and replace it?
