if i pull my intake mani back and try to start my injectors should pump out fuel right?

if i pull my intake mani back and try to start my injectors should pump out fuel right?
jus wondering if i could do this to trouble shoot the car?i dont have a stethoscope and i cant really hear them.if they are working poperly they should pump fuel right guys?these are peak and hold stock injectors.
