Default Civic Ek takes on Silverstone International (UK)

Hey all,

Not sure if this is the right place to post or not but it seems fitting. Thought id share my B16B civic & spoon short ratio gearbox taking on the prestigious circuit that is Silverstone (Im car number 2).

Terrible start but its a 40 minute race with a mandatory pit stop, so plenty of time to claw them places back :D.

Spoiler Alert, to drops a valve with a lap to go and we don't finish =(.

thanks for the welcome, cars are classed :
1.4 twin cam to 1.6 single cam
1.6 twin cam to 1.8 single cam
1.8 twin cam to 2 litre single cam
2 litre twin cam

the car has to run an original engine type, so I can’t go K20 it B20 ect. B16b is the best block I can get. Engine internals are free so you can go for your life if you have deep pockets, but any stroking you’d have to declare and go up a class.

Im going to put a separate post up on the dropping a valve. Nothings obvious , but a bunch of things don’t look right.

The Spec :

Stock B16B bottom end with Nippon replacement pistons,

PRC-3 head, stock porting.
Stunk2 Tuner 2's
RDX 440 injectors
Skunk2 Intake manifold
Custom induction pipe with HKS SuperPower Reloaded filter.
OEM DC2 Valves

1320 Big bore Exhaust manifold
custom 3 inch, No cat exhaust manifold. 2 silencers (still makes 106DB static and need to be a bit quieter !).

138KW @ wheels / 185 at the wheels / 210bhp at the fly (working on 14% losses). This graph is before DIN correction. so the final figure came down a little to 207.5 bhp. - Dyno was a Rototest Hub Dyno
