I have a 2006 Accord with 300,000 miles on it. A couple of weeks ago, the handling on my accord completely went away. When I hit a rough patch on the interstate the car feels like its about get out of control. Also feels unstable at highway speeds (70 mph plus). My tie rods were recently replaced but I'm not sure if this is related. We've had alot of pot holes this winter and my suspicion is the shocks & struts are shot. How can I know this for sure and would that cause the handling to deteriorate like it has ?

The issue could be a lot of things; your best bet would be to have the car inspected by either a Honda dealership or a shop which specializes in suspension work.
