Hello!

When I did my valve clearance and one of the threads got stripped on my valve cover. It has been leaking oil and I hope there is no other damage. I am getting ready to get a helicoil to rethread it but I need to know what size to use.Thank you.

If it's the valve cover thread that stripped, u can just get a cover from the junk yard men. .much easier.

 

The valve cover itself is fine, the stripped part is in the valve head. I wish it was the valve cover, lol

 

Oh ,I got yah..if it's not bad you could get the ride thread maker and retread it but to be on the safe side if you dont know how to do it let someone that knows how to do it help u out.
