Hey guys have a problem with my car. I accidentally broke the brown wire on the top of my obd0 dizzy, it sparked and the car shut off.
Long story short now the car will only start with the main relay plug jumped (like in pic). Made me think it was the main relay but i replaced it and still nothing... but the car will start and run with the main relay plug jumped.
Any ideas? Its a 91 civic si if that matters. Need car for work. Lol
How did you come to that idea. Where do those wires go? Fuhk yo I’m trying to get mine started. Did your car even crank? What circuits are you jumping. I have a 91 sedan with pm6 I’m trying to figure my ish out
here are some pictures of my notes maybe they’ll make sense maybe they won’t just sharing just to share
I just checked for continuity here
The pink and green remarks are meant toward the connector in the engine compartment that’s the same rectangular shape and is coated in grease you know
Its a common method to test if the main relay is bad. However i noticed my fuse box wasnt getting power. I found a fried wore from the ignition switch to the fuse box (black/yellow). Fixed wire, now shes..... well was running good. I blew up my b20 the next day.
If you remember can you please tell me what those wires went to and what that was able to accomplish besides starting your car? Did jumping those four wires fix in a way the fact that you didn’t have power to the fuses box? I’m in the no start gang and I’m genuinely curious to know why and what you did so that maybe I can cross reference your fix with my problems lol
sorry about your motor sounds like we have similar luck.
Yes jumping the plug like in pic i was able to start the car and even i pulled the key out of the ignition it would stay running till i pulled the wires out. The wire i fixed is the black and yellow wire going from ignition directly to the fuse box.
I have checked the voltage readings at the main relay plug with the ignition off and this is what I got I also checked for voltage at the plug that plugs into the fuse box and like you I don’t have voltage going to my fuse box either at that same black and yellow wire with the ignition on or off
Top left of the front of the fuse box. A plug with 4 big wires on it. Should have power at the back of the ignition and at the plug in the front. Its what powers the fuse box.
